The cross country 101 class focuses on developing a solid fitness foundation. The goal is to be in great running shape by the end of the class and well prepared for competition.

We develop: Proper running mechanics, Breathing, Pacing, Leadership, Teammanship, Racing

The GREAT Human Performance Class is designed to help the student athlete become stronger, better and more knowledgable in their understanding of their sport. The sooner the athlete becomes a student of human performance, the sooner the student athlete connects the dots to maximizing their ability.

ABOUT CROSS COUNTRY

Cross Country is usually an unknown sport as it is typically introduced in high school, but is available through club. XC/CC (abbreviated) is a competitive team sport offered in the fall for students in grades 9 through 12. Training starts in the early summer as soon as June. Teams consist of five or more runners who all race together at the same time with other teams. The top five finishers from each team are scored and their finishing places are added up for the team score. The lowest score wins. High school races are typically 3 miles and sometimes can be up to 3.1 miles (5K). The courses are mostly run across asphalt, grassy fields, dirt paths, and have a mixture of hills. A great thing about cross country is that everyone competes! Everyone runs the same course, and although the first 7 runners to finish are considered the scoring team, at every meet ALL athletes get to participate. There are no freshman cuts, and no bench to sit on and watch while others compete!

Communication– Every season we do our best to keep everyone “connected and in the loop” so you don’t miss a step! Please register yourself with our communication and/or social media platforms.

  • Remind Texting is the best way to stay informed as we send out a text messages about whats happening. Parents and athletes have their own account, but parents are always copied on the messages sent to athletes so we are on the same page. Signing up takes 5 seconds.

CROSS COUNTRY

Cross Country is a competitive team sport offered in the fall for students in grades 9 through 12. Training starts in the early summer as soon as June.  The great thing about cross country (abbreviated XC) is that everyone competes. There are no freshman cuts, and no bench to sit on and watch while others play.

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
Just a positive attitude and effort!

TRACK & FIELD

Track and Field is a competitive team sport offered in the spring for students in grades 9 through 12. Endurance athletes will compete in running events ranging from 400 meter (1 lap) to 3200 meters (8 laps). Track offers athletes a different racing experience. Each season may have different performance requirements.

TRY OUTS OCCUR LATE DECEMBER.
